Plog Run 2022 – Pledge to Make Neighborhoods Plastic-free on 75th year of Indian Independence

The Pranav Foundation, Bengaluru organized a Plog Run on Independence Day at NH-209, Kanakapura to heighten awareness against plastic usage and waste segregation in the rural. Participants from all over Bengaluru and different walks of life enthusiastically participated in this mission.
The event commenced with Flag Hoisting at Rajeev Gandhi School, Navagram. The foundation distributed Nali-Kali a Resource kit beneficial for the students from age group of 2-6years. The Plogrun was flagged off at 11:00 am from the Rajeev Gandhi School, Navagram entry gate . Around 150 zealous participants including 60 primary school students, mostly dressed in khadi and proudly holding Indian Flag, jogged the 2 km stretch, vigilantly cleaning the plastic litter and raising public awareness to stop dumping garbage on the roads.
After 2 hours of activity, the participants had collected 30 bags translating to 10 – 15 kgs of plastic waste.
We thank the Gram Panchayat members, Local leaders, School correspondents’, residents and other supporters for their whole hearted support to make this event a success. Special thanks to the volunteers for their active participation!
We hope to promote and make possible, sustainable living through projects such as Waste Segregation and Decomposing the natural waste. This initiative is an ongoing event to recur every year marking it an important day for Pranav Foundation.
