Clean Water Initiative – RO Water Plants

Pranav Foundation’s Clean Water & Sanitation initiative, a part of our environmental program, has successfully established RO Water Plants in 15 government schools across Bangalore Rural & Urban Districts. These plants now provide clean and safe drinking water to over 5000 children attending these schools. The impact of this initiative became especially apparent when school teachers highlighted the previous challenges with providing clean drinking water to students.

Prior to the installation of the RO Water Plants, many schools had to rely on daily deliveries of 20-liter water cans to meet the drinking water needs of their students. However, due to logistical constraints, these deliveries sometimes fell short, resulting in shortages where schools could only manage to bring in 10-15 cans per day. With the capacity to supply clean and safe drinking water to 400-600 children daily, the 100LPH capacity RO Water Plants have significantly improved access to clean water in these schools.

The success of this initiative has been made possible through the generous contributions of NetApp India and Livinguard, who have supported the cause through their CSR initiatives. Their commitment to social responsibility has had a direct and positive impact on the lives of thousands of school children, ensuring that they have access to clean and safe drinking water, which is essential for their health and well-being.
